KS now registering voters online:
All you need is your mouse and a drivers license and you can sign up to vote in the Sunflower State.
Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh will formally announce the effort Tuesday alongside Secretary of Revenue Joan Wagnon.
But online registration is actually underway now on the SOSs website. It asks for your name, address, DL number, and, like the paper forms, asks whether youve ever been convicted of a felony, are a US citizen living in KS, etc.
Newly registered voters will still have to show proof of identity (a license) when they show up at the polls for the first time.
Stephanie Meyer, a spokeswoman for Thornburgh, said about 100-150 Kansans have already used the system to register. She assures us its safe.
